The Marco V Slit Lamp features a fingertip millimeter slit length control that allows precision adjustment from 8mm to 1mm, and a three-way jostick control. It also features an easy-to-reach tilting mechanism and a focusing fixation light adjustable to each patient. A Hruby lens is standard equipment. It will also accept the Marco measuring reticle eyepiece, popular pachometers, the Goldmann applanation tonometer and other accessories.

This slit lamp has a revolver type objective changing system for making magnification changes of 1X and 1.6X, and 10X and 16X eyepieces. An optional 25X is also available. The 10X is + or - 8D for both eyes; the 16X is + or - 10D for both eyes. The slit width is continuously variable form 0 to 8mm (field of view is round at 8mm), and slit length is continuously variable from 8mm to 1mm. Aperture diaphragms are 8mm, 5mm, 3mm, 2mm, 1mm and 0.2mm diameters.

The slit angle is continuously variable through 90o from the vertical to the horizontal; horizontal scanning is possible; slit projection can be inclined up to 20o.
There are five bulit-in filters; two cobalt, a red-free, a 13% neutral density filter and a heat-absorbing filter. Illumination is by a 6V 4.5 amp precentered tungsten filament lamp, and optional Halogen bulb is also available.
